Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Tai Chung - Day One (28 Jan 2009). I woke up pretty butt early to take the bus into town, and then the other bus to Taipei, and then the high speed train to Taichung. I was infinitely amused by what the 7-Eleven. At the train station had to offer. Hot Chinese breakfast. I selected a steamed bun. Mm, not bad. I then headed downstairs to the platform. At first we tried having the lesson in English until we realized it was much easier and more effective to simply show me and point and important features of the stance or grip or other placement. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Tai Chung - Day Two (29 Jan 2009). The next day, we drove up to Sun Moon Lake (Ri Yue Tan). But not before we stopped for a more traditional style breakfast. I was relieved to see that burgers were not the only breakfast food in Taiwan. Maybe more of a young generation thing. They got me an egg sandwich. And a bowl of warm sweet soy milk. Mm. I also got a taste of the ' salty' soy milk. After about an hour drive, we arrived at the lake. Next we drove over to the Tzuen Ta Trail.
