October 22, 2016. I have some of these – thankfully not all. Not yet. September 2, 2016. It’s been two months since I wrote a post. I’ve lost track a bit, but since then I’ve seen the MS consultant and his registrar, the continence adviser and I have physio every three or four weeks. No new symptoms – hurrah! I’m still working. Just had a lovely two week break mostly watching the Olympics. Saw friends, and James came for a weekend. My physio ordered me a rollator for free. June 26, 2016. June 11, 2016.

May 22, 2016. May 22, 2016. Today my legs are being a right bloody pain, numb, weak, wobbly and freezing; but hey, you have to keep going, even if you look and feel like a baby learning to walk, except without any of the ‘aah, how cute! It’s so difficult to describe. I came across this video, which sums it up quite well –. I suppose I could access that fear again – I don’t want to end my days totally immobile, depending on the care system or a hospital to look after me. Nightmare. Enter your comment here.

No new symptoms – hurrah! 8211; no sign of optic neuritis, and the consultant thinks I’m doing a lot better than he would have expected from looking at my MRI scans. Which was nice. Drugs and psychosomatic MS. May 13, 2016. September 2, 2016. This blog has been boring me stiff. MS isn’t exactly a riveting subject, there’s only so much mileage one can get out of it, and much of it is pretty dull. Secondly, drinking alcohol while on amitriptyline is not advised – because it can exacerbate the aforementioned side effect. So…I’m deferring taking the amitriptyline yet again, and I’ll deal with the insomnia and pain in my own way, at least for now. I said I think it might be all in my head.

At first I thought it was a bee called Pinocchio, but a quick poke around Google reveals it to be a 'Hornet Mimic Hoverfly' (Volucella Zonaria). The largest hoverfly we have in the UK.
