I am excited to start multiplication review tomorrow. Posted by Orchard House School. Monday, March 30, 2009. She loves seeds, and loves finding new ones to bring home and plant in the courtyard. Tomorrow we plan to walk again, and this time? She's bringing a bucket. =D. Posted by Orchard House School. Sunday, March 29, 2009.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Jennifer: Maxwell started Statistics and Probabilities today. We began with charts without keys. I found myself thinking a lot about all the bar and pie charts that I've had to create over the years and how important they all wound up being. Stunning that I've heard some business folk talk about there's never a need for "silly pictures." Do they think that everyone adores facts presented in dense text or perhaps binary? Friday, April 10, 2009. Now the children are off on an about-the-town field trip with Cris. Working with a little money (from their great grandma) to see what they can and can't afford, how sales tax works, etc. Fridays are perfect for this kind of wind down work. Though I think I will have them do math and creative writing when they get home. Posted by Jennifer DiMarco. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Thursday, April 9, 2009. Jennifer: Brianne continues to work directly with Faith. Today on reading. I wonder if sight word memorization will be effected like numbers. We'll see. Brianne is working with small sight words and "at" words (cat, sat, rat, hat). I have hope. Speaking of work: We are taking the kids back to the office today to be involved, once again, in production, inventory and every day procedures. Posted by Jennifer DiMarco. Thursday, April 2, 2009. Maxwell: Today for my silent reading I read "The Magical Child." We did history first and it taught about somebody going on a trip to Mecca with his family. Math was medium in difficulty. We did a Mad Lib and I think that Jenn giggled a bit at my Eggman and Eggman Robot picture. Faith: School was pretty good. I have no idea what else to say. On cat. (Six pages in all.) I'm really looking forward to seeing if this works. Posted by Jennifer DiMarco. View my complete profile.

Monday, April 6, 2009. Faith: Today I worked in the office for part of my school today. It was fun, well, half of it. The other part was a little boring for me. The part where we made the book with the glue. The counting part where I counted those covers was not fun. I've never in my life seen so many people in that room! It was a little chaotic at first, but Faith and I pulled through and made it through the P's in the cover inventory. Okay. Boring part done. Let's bind a book! Posted by Jennifer DiMarco.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Maxwell: Today, school was back to normal. I did four mazes. I haven't done my silent reading yet. Math was pretty easy. History was short. It was about a man people called the "Lion King." They didn't have books back then so people told stories about them. My one page story was about how Baby Squirrel couldn't fly. Faith: Today was good but learning about time was hard. I didn't like it too much but Mama Jenn said I was good at it. I loved mazes like always. My path is not your...
