One luxury my new schedule has afforded me is the time to experiment with new recipes. I have always loved to bake. I have only recently started to enjoy cooking. I now have time to research, plan, and execute which makes it less stressful and more enjoyable. Be at a healthy weight, but look better in my clothes!

Friday, April 20, 2012. We enjoyed some unusually warm weather in March, so we took advantage of our Botanica membership and spent some time there with Gianna and Amy. Claire, Melanie and Gianna. Making some music together! Amelia, ladybug tamer extraordinaire! We attempted (in vain) to get a picture of the three older girls. Melanie was trying to keep the sun out of her eyes. Which led Gianna to think she was supposed to hold her arm that way as well. Amelia is a bit of a rough one. Gently down the road!

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The girls and I went to a nearby apple orchard a couple weeks ago with my mother-in-law and my sister, Amber. After forgetting the camera when we went peach picking earlier in the summer and missing Amelia's first peach picking experience, and all the peach juice covered faces that went along with it, I was determined to get some pictures of our apple picking excursion. Searching out some good apples with Grams. Found a good one! You gotta give her credit for determination.

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Melanie's first field trip with school was to Botanica. The botanical gardens we are privileged to have here in town. Their teacher wanted the kids to get to see the Butterfly Garden since they had learned about caterpillars and butterflies recently and she wanted them to see it before that garden was closed for the season. Sunday, March 18, 2012. We celebrated Amelia's 1st birthday a couple weeks early since I was helping out with a baby shower on the weekend closest to her birthday. We did the standard present opening with cake and ice cream, having extended family joining us for the celebration. We let the big girls pick out pictures of giraffes online to color as their "cards" for Amelia. They were very proud of their hard work, and it allowed mom and dad to finish tidying up for the party. Monday, May 20, 2013. Melanie's Dance Recital Videos. Here's the video Matt took of Melanie's dance recital. The theme of the recital was "Let's Go to the Movies", so each song was featured in film.
