Mythology_Jon Orsi: December 2010
http://4allthingschange.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Jon Orsi's Mythology blog. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. There is a whiteness inherent to blank pages, blank canvases. This whiteness alludes to free from and to limitless possibilities, but it is in a sense a blanketing suffocation of predetermined structure. The artists’ palate is broad but only in respect to the Iris. And the poet only has words to play with. New buildings may be erected with radical and unseen forms but they shall forever be made of old stones. The portrait then becomes transparant.

Katie Kilwine - Mythologies (Lit 285-01): More Mythic Clues

Katie Kilwine - Mythologies (Lit 285-01). Tuesday, October 26, 2010. The great gods of Egypt themselves were not exempt from the common lot. They too grew old and died. For like men they were composed of body and soul, and like men were subject to all the passions and infirmities of the flesh. " - James George Frazer, The Golden Bough (pg 224). Based upon once hearing that swans mate for life. It was such an idyllic (and slightly romantic) scene; why was it alone? What in the world was he talking about?

Katie Kilwine - Mythologies (Lit 285-01): My Friend's Chthonic Demision
http://katiekilwine.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-friends-chthonic-demision.html
Katie Kilwine - Mythologies (Lit 285-01). Tuesday, September 14, 2010. My Friend's Chthonic Demision. Dave's apartment resembles the Roman mythological caves that represent Somnus's darkness, Pan's isolation, and Python's concealment. Caves are often where few venture, and my poor friend must live in one "because its cheap." I hope this place will not corrupt him and turn him into some sort of monster by the end of the semester :(. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016).

Jon Orsi's Mythology blog. Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Jon Orsi bad day. thats an understatement. Sunday- work all day. After spending my entire horrible day at work fantasizing about making and having good Chinese food in Montana (is this possible? Driving recklessly as I often do, I drop my second cup of coffee of the morning, this time in my lap. I swear, punch the steering wheel, hurt my hand. Red light. Damn. Red light. Dammnn. Red light. why? No, you aren't. Officer Javert "oh don't worry about it...

Mythology_Jon Orsi: Jon Orsi-Welp
http://4allthingschange.blogspot.com/2010/12/jon-orsi-welp.html
Jon Orsi's Mythology blog. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Somewhat naively I ventured into darkness. I turned my mind to unknown arts. I wanted to do something grand, so I took on the assignment of writing about Mythology in Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. I was a bit premature in my assumption that Daedalus. Begin the main character in the book equates to me having a leisurely time writing this paper. Approaching a text with an unresearched preconception leads only to disaster. The goal o...

Mythology_Jon Orsi: Jon Orsi- Things I think about
http://4allthingschange.blogspot.com/2010/11/jon-orsi-things-i-think-about.html
Jon Orsi's Mythology blog. Sunday, November 14, 2010. Jon Orsi- Things I think about. As I recall, we were assigned to have an epiphany. Now I can’t remember if the assignment was for this class (Bible) or the other (Mythologies) or perhaps one of the others (…) but I feel that that bit of information is trivial.
