About Carol Blane, Carol Blane, Counsellor, Supervisor, Trainer, Crombie, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland
http://carolblane.co.uk/about-carol-blane
In the early 1990’s I became aware that many, many people went to their doctors because they were in distress, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. People in distress often need to talk and to be heard, but a doctor’s time is very limited. This is what prompted my interest in counselling – a desire to provide a space and time. Where a person has the opportunity to speak or be silent, to bring dreams or despair, to accept the status quo or to change and grow.

In supervision too, my approach is holistic. I am concerned with the whole person. Of the counsellor, believing that everything that impacts the therapist has a corresponding impact on the client. My purpose is to provide a space to reflect, learn, be authentic and grow as a therapist. I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for a variety of theoretical approaches and interventions, when this is relevant to the immediate content of the session. As in all my work, it is the deepening of relationship.

I have an enthusiasm for training which is a direct result of my passion for change. I have worked with groups ranging in number from 6 to 50 . Most of my experience has been in the area of training student counsellors, from the introductory stage through to Diploma level. However, I have also offered training in Transactional Analysis to employee groups who wish to improve the dynamics of relationships. Within their teams or with their client groups. 10 Ordnance Road, Crombie, Fife KY12 8JZ.
