The garden at Maylodge is our pride and joy. We encourage our guests to lose themselves in the garden in order to enjoy its beauty. From the front garden one can look on to the Amathole Mountains in all their magnificence (please click on the images to enlarge them). There are several walking trails. Click to follow link) within Hogsback. A number of them start at the arboretum in the centre of Hogsback. A number of the trails are a very convenient walking distance away from Maylodge. They range in difficulty from very easy to quite arduous. Please enquire at reception before embarking on a trail. There are delightful, atmospheric eateries. Guided tours can be arranged through Neels at "Away with the Faeries", who can be contacted on 27(45)962 1031.

At Maylodge, Hogsback, Eastern Cape we have six independent units all of which offer comfortable, private self-catering accommodation. All cottages offer braai facilities, fireplaces and each room has a bathroom. Each cottage is surrounded by ample private space. Our emphasis is on comfortable family accommodation.
