Wednesday, May 02, 2007. Solar panels and Scottish country dancing. This house does have a roof! It has been changed at some time from grass to tin. We had two 14 watt solar panels fitted into a frame on a long pole and these are used to power up a 12 volt car battery from which everything else is run. This picture shows the panels in their frame on the pole. The step ladder shown to the left of the picture is standard Tanzanian version. No Health and Safety Executive here!
