Beyond Reasonable Doubt: Yelena Barbalich
http://beyond-reasonable-doubt.blogspot.com/2006/06/yelena-barbalich_13.html
Yelena can barely write her name, yet she ‘writes’ intricate patterns. It is evident by looking at her extensive body of work that Yelena is driven to make art. She never erases or reworks and accepts her art as it naturally flows out of her with complete confidence and great satisfaction. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The gift of giving. Sometime it can be hard to let in unconditional love. In that case you can choose to give unconditional love instead,. Because as you give unconditional love it will flow through you first. As it flows through you it will nurture and recharge you as well as the receiver. A Blur of energy, Istanbul, Turkey. Marcel Baaijens: April 2009

Please watch this video with a headset to get all the nuances of the sound. In memory of Amy Szostak. For about 5 years along with Chris Barrand and Brooke Dallimore. I supported Amy with her art practice. The first time Amy came into the studio of Art Compass she screamed! Angy at people who patronised her. Soon we gained her confidence and trust,. With that Amy’s amazing artistic journey began. Just before Art Compass closed. We managed to round off Amy’s Raidar the Viking story:. Sadly her body gave up.

Day 20: Rosa goes to Mardi Gras 2010 (part 1). I never 'do drag'! I don't feel comfortable dressing in women’s clothes because. I learned from an early age that being feminine or gay and feminine was not acceptable in a hetero sexual society, even today in male gay circles it is often frowned upon. With this first challenge completed it was time to take the next step: taking part in drag, in public, in the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade in Sydney, Australia AND fly there. in drag. Button below should ...

Marcel Baaijens: June 2010

With the rain and clouds gone, the starry frosty nights take over. I love seeing the southern cross. As a globalite it is hard to define 'home'. Seeing the southern cross does that in a strange way. I look out for it when I fly between the northern and southern hemispheres, once it becomes visible I know I am heading to where the constellations 'feel and look right', my GPS of home. Rape, Morten Harket (lead singer from 80’s euro pop sensation A’ha), Edward Moench’s ‘The Scream’, Viking pillagers, Lesbians, Michael Jackson, Sex Slaves! Most artists would find it very difficult to tackle these subjects with such an unsubtle humour. She has twice been an IHC/Telecom national finalist. With numerous TV appearances, media attention, her own radio show and a book in progress, she is a star in the making. She is a greatly admired outsider artist who has a following of collectors.

Beyond Reasonable Doubt: Emmet Dale
http://beyond-reasonable-doubt.blogspot.com/2006/06/emmet-dale.html
Emmet has a full-time job. Once a week he is an artist playfully creating and reworking abstract fields of colour. It was a rare figurative image that instantly elevated Emmet from a regular guy to a much appreciated artist/designer. His simple expressive ‘volcano’[sic] image became one of the most popular T-shirt designs of our collection. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
