Sunday, November 1, 2009. A web based tool I would like to use in my 6th grade english class would be www.blogger.com. I will most likely use Excel spreadsheets as my grade book. It is an awesome way to keep track of assignments and the grades students got on them. It is all on the computer and can keep things organized (and its easy to fix if i make a mistake! Monday, November 23, 2009. I really like our project so far. It is definitely making me put to use the things I have learned in this class. We are doing a Wikispace for the students of Fairview Elementary. It is a really cool way for the students to improve their writing and read each other's work. It is all online so it is interesting for them and will help them learn better. This week I have learned to be more comfortable with Wikispace and can do many things on it that I could not before.

Monday, October 26, 2009. Monday, October 5, 2009. Sunday, October 4, 2009. I have used some of the search tools we learned last week when I have been looking things up on Google. When looking for something and not wanting a certain word to come up, I remembered to use the dash before a word. All of the search tools will be useful because they will save me time going through useless website and helping me narrow down my search to things I can actually use. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, November 30, 2009. This project was a good way to incorporate everything I have learned over the course of the semester. We used Wikispace and tried to take advantage of every possibility to make our pages as interesting and fun for the students as possible, while still including the necessary information for them to learn. Monday, October 5, 2009. October 12, 2009 at 8:24 AM. I agree with you when you say that one of the best things about using presentation technology is reusibility. I would hate to have to keep creating the same thing over and over each year. October 12, 2009 at 8:26 AM. I thought your point about an advantage to presentation software being neatness was a very good point. I am really big on everything being neat and organized so I agree with that. Good job :). Monday, August 31, 2009. Sunday, August 30, 2009. Monday, August 24, 2009. My dad works for IBM and usually helps me with whatever problems I have regarding software, so over the years I have learned a few tricks of the trade. However the last computer class I took was in Middle school so I'm pretty sure there is much for me to learn. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blog Journal #10 prompts. Blog Journal #10 prompts. Saturday, November 14, 2009. I think this is a good example of a WebQuest because it has a very creative topic. The students have to pretend they are aliens from another planet and are looking for the best place to live. They have to go through and look at the different climates of desert vs city and the different lifestyles there and decide where they would want to live. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Monday, September 21, 2009. Sunday, September 20, 2009. This website has educational video games for the students to work on math skills with. I think this is a good idea because most kids like to play games, especially on the computer and it will help keep their attention, but at the same time they will be refining and learning new skills. Sunday, September 13, 2009. As a student I use Microsoft Word more than any other program on my computer. In fact, I am using it right now to write this blog!
