My neck/shoulder injury was actually pretty good after a few days. James still wouldn't let me carry anything more, even though we did try to find creative ways to strap my sleeping bag to my back. The next morning we departed with our guide, who turned out to be one of the guys from our arrival day who had promised the Obama discount. We could never remember his name but found out that it was Swahili for surprise so we just called him that. We took a local bus (AKA we were the only white people on it).
