Saturday, February 28, 2009. Apparently, potty training is easier when you're a Gamecock! Jack woke up this morning dry and woke up dry from his nap. We spent a lot more time in the bathroom today, but he did great! I do have one funny story to share, but it's probably going to gross some of you out. Consider yourself warned! Over and over again, while pointing in the den. Sure enough, he had POOPED ON THE FLOOR! So yeah, only one accident today, but it was definitely one we won't forget! Mickey Mouse - 0.

Friday, October 31, 2008. We attempted a little photo shoot this afternoon. It was . . . interesting! Not sure if he's trying to keep her in or push her out! This is pretty much what Jack did while I tried to take pictures. Just call him the Flash! Getting ready to run away! This pretty much ended our photo shoot! Varner - Party of 3. Friday, September 2, 2011. Gavin's 4th Birthday Party. Gavin celebrated his birthday pirate-style. I'm only sharing 3 photos, but we took 200-something. I posted more on Facebook. We did so many fun things, like:. Dug for buried treasure. Visited Blackbeard's Tattoo Parlour. Pinned the eyepatch on the pirate. Ate pirate ship hotdogs, sea chips, ocean jello with gummy sea life, and drank shark blood punch. Went on a treasure hunt to find loot bags. Posted by Varner Party of 3.

Labor Day in South Carolina was very rainy, but we already had plans to go to the mountains. Our destination was supposed to be sliding rock. We promised our boys that we would go before summer was over. So, even though we woke up to gray skies and mist, we packed our towels, dry clothes, snacks, and headed up the Saluda Grade. Once we arrived in Pisgah, it was pouring. We inquired in the ranger station, and they confirmed our suspicions. Sliding rock was closed due to dangerous conditions.

Varner - Party of 3. Thursday, November 11, 2010. My mama is so lucky to have her friends. Here are the ya-ya's. Today we went to the Veteran's Day parade in Spartanburg. I'm so thankful for those who have served on our behalf. I turned cartoons on this afternoon for Gavin while I was in the shower. When I got out, I wondered why I didn't hear anything (usually that's a bad sign in this house). But thankfully, this was why. At mom's last night, Gavin came into the kitchen all dressed up. The theme for Raw(e). This week is summertime. These tomatoes were picked from our garden just a few days ago. I look forward to summer for the fresh taste of heirloom tomatoes that my husband grows every year. The little ones are currant tomatoes (the big ones are Romas). They are sweet and explode in your mouth when you bite into them. They are perfect in a salad or pasta dish. My favorite tomato indulgence is actually a bacon tomato biscuit! When our bigger tomatos are ready I'll post a picture:).
