Erstes Ziel in Nizza: Promenade du Paillon,. Denn direkt neben dem Kirchturm liegt unser Hotel. Und durch diese Pforte geht es in die Altstadt. Dann geht es hoch zum alten Burgfelsen,. Wegen dieser grandiosen Aussicht auf die Bucht. Und auf den Hafen. Außerdem sehenswert: die alte Oper,. Der ehemalige Königspalast. Und die Promenade des Anglais. Larr; zurück. Direkt hinter der Ortschaft im Wald ist das Rauschen schon hörbar. Und wenn man vom Aussichtspunkt den Wasserfall dann sieht ist das nur beeindruckend. Unterhalb hat das Wasser eine wunderschöne jadegrüne Farbe. Immer wieder fließt das Wasser geräuschvoll über die Felsen. Die Sonne scheint durch die Äste und gibt dem ganzen eine mystische Beleuchtung. Weit oberhalb führt der Wanderweg durch den Wald und gibt immer wieder den Blick frei auf die bergige Landschaft. Vorbei an interessanten Hinweischildern.

Die Ortschaft Barjols lebte auf Grund der zahlreichen Quellen schon im Mittelalter von ihren Gerbereien. Aber es gibt auch Fabrikgebäude aus der Neuzeit. Alle haben eines gemeinsam: sie stehen leer! Interessanterweise werden aber sogar die ältesten Häuser bewohnt. Polizei, Krankenhaus, Altersheim, Supermarkt, Bäckereien, Metzgerei, mehrere Cafés und Kneipen gibt es. Im ganzen Ort hat man einwandfreien Telefonempfang. Ob das an der Aussicht liegt,. Oder den romantischen Ecken,. Oder doch an den Quellen?

Das Chateau liegt in Mitten der Weinberge. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach Norden mit Türmchen und Aussicht zum Lavendelgarten. Der Blick morgens aus dem Badezimmerfenster: ganz schön viel Landschaft! Nach Süden liegt der Garten. Die Maulbeerallee führt duch die Weinberge zum Gros Besillon. Am vorletzten Tag kam ein mobiles Abfüllkommando. Der Weißwein und der Rosé wurden in Flaschen verpackt.
