Preparing our children to be the leaders of tomorrow. It is with much happiness that I look at our community and smile. We have some of the best go-getters out there. I think of the leaders of the community fundraisers, the society leaders at church, the city council members, and the school clubs. Each one made a choice long ago, for whatever reason, to become involved in the community! And you know what, we can each be that person. Give of your time and you will benefit greatly! Fees and fundraisers = no multiplier (1). Wages = 3.2 multiplier. Federal grants/subsidies = 2.78 multiplier. Other spending = 1.43 multiplier. Numbers are figured based on the financial records kept by the City of Montrose from September 1, 2005 through September 16, 2006 (financials from 2005 have been audited).
