Specifically they've razed the houses of the Prophet's wife, companion and grandson (to say nothing of current residents of the city) to make room for the Abrajj al Bait (a clock tower complex with luxury condos, hotels and a shopping mall), its bathrooms, and a Hilton hotel. Biggest thing in the Holy City is the hotel.
