The place has a long history in the SF Bay Area having been located in San Francisco and then moved down to San Mateo. Sheamus McGovern was a fixture on the weekdays but I haven't seen him lately. You can also find Irish expats having a drink on weekday evenings. They have peanuts for the taking and you're supposed to put the shells on the ground. They don't serve food. I love this place!
