The Osbornes: Intensity
http://onemoreangel.blogspot.com/2011/10/intensity.html
Our family's journey through life and adoption. Tuesday, October 11, 2011. This morning Jacob and I were at his OT appointment. This week was the second time his therapist had been with him, so she's still trying to figure him out. We are trying to find was to help him slow his body down. even just a little bit. Towards the end of our designated time she looked at me and said, "he seems like he has an intense personality.". I responded graciously, but I think her statement might have deserved an emphatic,.

Our family's journey through life and adoption. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Labels: Pictures of the kids. Jacob home 6 months. WOW, so Jacob's been home now 6 months and I am finally feeling like things are going smoothly with all the kids. The kids are back in school, Jacob is taking good naps, he's not getting up at 5:45 anymore and he'll sit and watch Sesame Street for a few minutes if I need him to. These things all add up to a happy mom. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Midwives of another world .

The Osbornes: Our 1st separation...
http://onemoreangel.blogspot.com/2012/05/our-1st-separation.html
Our family's journey through life and adoption. Saturday, May 26, 2012. This is Bordeaux, France. We stayed here in April. It was our first time away from Jacob since we brought him home in Spring 2008. So here is the backstory. Last fall John's work held a contest, the prize was a 9 day trip to France. He won! So when John told me the news that he had a shot at winning this trip to France. I began to pray. In January John found out that he'd won, but actually he'd EARNED the trip to France. On and on I ...

We're getting excited and I'm starting to think things are going to fly from here on out considering Grace's b-day, Diane's visit for Thanksgiving, my b-day, our anniversary, Christmas and New years! The Osbornes: July 2007
http://onemoreangel.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Our family's journey through life and adoption. Saturday, July 21, 2007. Ok, so obviously I'm not the best "blogger" in the world. So here's the latest on Jacob for anyone who's actually checking. His paperwork is in Parquet. The old adoption law from 1974 has been reinstated and we don't qualify under that law.the criteria are: over 35, married 10 or more yrs. and no bio. children. Three strikes for us! Change 'em or move 'em" That's what we pray in Mom's in Touch :). Here's a verse I love.

Our family's journey through life and adoption. Thursday, February 15, 2007. Here's the pics from January. What a Happy Valentine's Day! Well, yesterday we found out that Jacob's paperwork went into IBESR! So it is official, we are on our way. We're "in line" as Grace and Noah are saying. I can't believe we are even in, since there was a time when we didn't even qualify. We also got cute Valentine pictures from GLA. LaDawn is so awesome :). Monday, February 12, 2007. I will post them when I have a chance.

The Osbornes: 5 story fall
http://onemoreangel.blogspot.com/2013/03/5-story-fall.html
Our family's journey through life and adoption. Saturday, March 30, 2013. This winter I spent some time in a support group that was lead by a wise woman named Paula Freeman. She is an adoptive mom and has written a book for women who, through difficult adoption experiences, have found themselves lost and hopeless. In her book called, A Place I Didn't Belong, she describes what she calls the Five Story Fall. Looking back it seems shockingly naive. At the time, I hoped he would come to us without emoti...
