We successfully found a campsite in Yellowstone and traveled the top half of the grand circle the first day. Today we are traversing the southern half with Old Faithful and Canyon. We have limited reception in Yellowstone and probably won't be posting many pictures to the blog until we are out of the park. Follow Christine on Facebook. Follow Malcolm on Facebook. Our musings of two daughters and life. Malcolm, Christine, Michaela and Danielle. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Spring Break - March 17th Birds. During our first night camping my inflatable mattresses did not hold air very well and I was up often throughout the night falling out of bed. When I was awake hearing a couple of owls (eBird list). Could be heard singing at first light and it was wonderful seeing them up close during my morning walk. Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. And found more spider webs. Danie...
Our musings of two daughters and life: Sickness and Craters of the Moon
http://mcmdgold.blogspot.com/2015/07/sickness-and-craters-of-moon.html
Our musings of two daughters and life. Malcolm, Christine, Michaela and Danielle. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Sickness and Craters of the Moon. When we left Yellowstone Christine was stricken with a belly cringing pain. Two days later I had the same thing, an ugly bug that had her curled upon a public restroom floor and had me throwing up for the second time since getting married. Luckily we think the bug resulted from bad food and no one else has gotten it. Of course lots of photos. Craters of the Moon.
Our musings of two daughters and life: May 2015
http://mcmdgold.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Our musings of two daughters and life. Malcolm, Christine, Michaela and Danielle. Thursday, May 28, 2015. First week of summer break. This is the first week our entire family is out of school.so of course we are checking out parks, swimming, birding, and trying to sleep in. The birding lens got a few odd looks when I took pictures of kids 20 yards away from me. We don't get many of these Oregon style days with blue skies and bright clouds, but we did on Tuesday! Wyandotte County Lake Park.

Sophie Elise and Graham Everett: April 2010
http://aclongfamily.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Regression is the name of the game. Graham - after a week of sleeping up to 6 hours straight at night, he is back to waking up every three hours to nurse. Plus, he is back to having extreme trouble returning to sleep after his 2am/2:30am nursing. I am now sleep deprived again, which I am also sure is not helping with Sophie's potty training/accidents. Sunday, April 11, 2010. I'm so proud of you! Friday, April 9, 2010. Well, Allen gets home and there's no Gerry, and we both are q...

Updates in the comings / the goings, the ups / the downs that is the crazy wonderful life of Steve, Aubrey, Abigail and Zacharias. Thursday, July 4, 2013. What a wonderful time of year! And we have our first egg! I heard quite the commossion coming from the coop as Abi and I were leaving to pick up Zach from our friend's house. So I later went to let the girls out and just thought I'd check the nesting boxes. And there it was! The reason Daisy was making SUCH an INSANE ruckus earlier today.

http://aclongfamily.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 29, 2010. A little catch up. There's no doubt that blog-posting has not been my top priority lately, but I'm not sure how managed to skip posting completely for over a month. At some point, I'll have to share some holiday photos, but that will be down the road a little bit. Which brings me to my next update - I can't believe that I only have 7.5 weeks left in this pregnancy. It has gone by so fast! I promise to make more updates soon, and with photos, too! Updates in the comings / the goings, the ups / the downs that is the crazy wonderful life of Steve, Aubrey, Abigail and Zacharias. Sunday, January 13, 2013. Watch "Zach and Abi Sak jumping" on YouTube. It's been a whole weekend of 30 degree weather and for the first time I couldn't convince the kids to go outside to play. This was the result. Thursday, January 10, 2013. This week, Abi met "her kid doctor" Dr. Nolt at Doernbecher's Childrens Hospital. So, its not the end of the road for this journey, but ...

Sunday, June 20, 2010. Happy Father's Day, Allen. Sophie and Graham are so lucky to have you as their daddy. Thank you for being such a wonderful father (and best friend! Sunday, June 6, 2010. I'm definitely going to miss my little girl, but I know she's looking forward to playing with her friends at school. Nonetheless, it's days like this that I wish I was a fully stay-at-home mom. Monday, May 31, 2010. Sophie is fully potty-trained! We even took a 4 hour trip to the zoo this weekend, and she wore panties with no problems. I think it's fair to say we've turned the corner! Check out the pictures of our pacifier farewell below! The plaque below the tree reads "The Pacifier Tree: Grow, grow, grow-up with me. It's time to leave your Binky on me." Perhaps a bit cheezy, but definitely effective for us! Here we are sharing strawberry ice cream to celebrate Sophie's brave act! Our trip was...
Sophie Elise and Graham Everett: September 2010
http://aclongfamily.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 23, 2010. I've decided that each year on Sophie's birthday (and Graham's once he's old enough), I'll ask the same 4 questions so we can watch how the answers change over time. I'll also ask a fifth question that will be different each year. So - here's Sophie at age 3:. 1 - What is your favorite color? 2 - What is your favorite food? 3 - What is your favorite tv show? Dora the Explorer (no surprise there! 4 - What is your favorite book? 5 - Who is your best friend? We celebrated with ...

M C Monkey-Dew's Miniatures Games
M C Monkey-Dew's Miniatures Games. Sunday, March 18, 2018. Starting work on Swedish forces for the Russo-Swedish War of 1808. In keeping with my other Napoleonic and Seven Years Wars armies these will consist of Alternative Armies Slaighterloo/Flintloque fantasy figures. These are Trolka of Skandavia by name, although I prefer to just call them Trolls. This first unit is in the uniform of the Österbottens Regemente whose. It only took a simple paint conversion to change this to the Österbottens uniform.
Our musings of two daughters and life
Our musings of two daughters and life. Malcolm, Christine, Michaela and Danielle. Saturday, December 9, 2017. Owls seem to have intrigued and have inspired. Many Perhaps it is because Owls are cute. Perhaps it is because they are awesome hunters. Perhaps it is because they are seen less frequently than their diurnal raptor relatives. Or perhaps it is just because Owls are awesome. They are used as education birds. Personal Opinion: Owls bring out craziness! Friday, June 23, 2017. Timing worked out early ...

MCM Digital Photo Restoration - Home
Our photos are among our most prized possessions. Customers often tell us they would be devastated to lose their family photos in a house fire or flood. Yet as important as these heirlooms are, they often wind up stuffed in an envelope or placed in a drawer. They can get scratched, bent and the emulsion may crack. Discolorations can occur. If on display, they will fade over time.
