The McMurry Family: Life without a Tailbone
http://mcmurrys.blogspot.com/2014/06/life-without-tailbone.html
The Adventures of Alison and Ben. Sunday, June 08, 2014. Life without a Tailbone. This isn't the best picture, but it was easy to find on the Internet. :). Due to trauma to my coccyx over the past year, an orthopedic surgeon suggested that I have my tailbone removed. The procedure is called a coccygectomy. On Thursday, June 5, I had my coccyx removed. The McMurry Family: 164 Days tailboneless
http://mcmurrys.blogspot.com/2014/11/164-days-tailboneless.html
The Adventures of Alison and Ben. Sunday, November 16, 2014. I was hoping I wouldn't post another update. Keep in mind, I'm doing this to help others who may go through a coccygectomy. I couldn't find a lot or information on the subject. The healing process slowed down dramatically. It's hard to see improvement week to week or even month to month. Having said that, my standing desk arrived last week. Initial use is proving to be very beneficial. I go home with less pain that I used to. Watch out for mama.
The McMurry Family: Two weeks without a Tailbone
http://mcmurrys.blogspot.com/2014/06/two-weeks-without-tailbone.html
The Adventures of Alison and Ben. Thursday, June 19, 2014. Two weeks without a Tailbone. Yesterday, someone asked me if it was worth it. I don't know yet. Ask me again in September. If I can ride my bike pain free, then it was definitely worth it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jay and Robin Irvine. Watch out for mama. The Misadventures of Brad and Kim: Down Unda! The McMurry Family: A Reaction to UVU's Student Newspaper 2/7/2014
http://mcmurrys.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-reaction-to-uvus-student-newspaper.html
The Adventures of Alison and Ben. Friday, February 07, 2014. A Reaction to UVU's Student Newspaper 2/7/2014. Today the student newspaper ran four (4) stories. If they had only published one of these stories, I might not have reacted to it. But they published all four at the same time. I see a pattern. It is a pattern I don't like. 1 "UVU students conduct research on depression among LDS men." The results suggest that "Mormon theology and culture can cause distress.". This is an opinion article. Peopl...
The McMurry Family: 260 Days without a Tailbone
http://mcmurrys.blogspot.com/2015/02/260-days-without-tailbone.html
The Adventures of Alison and Ben. Friday, February 20, 2015. 260 Days without a Tailbone. I figured that I had something good to report. I still have pain from sitting in hard chairs or from sitting for a long time, but I can ride my bike! Out of the last 19 work days, I've ridden to work 15.5 of those days! It's great to be back in the saddle again. Cycling makes me happy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jay and Robin Irvine. Watch out for mama. The Misadventures of Brad and Kim: Down Unda!

Kyle's Psychology Blog: February 2008
http://kylespsychblog.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
For those days I'm so confused I can't keep my own thoughts inside my head. Friday, February 29, 2008. I hope I didn't freak him out too bad. The guy took an immediate liking to Spencer (who can't? And told me that he just has his first baby six days ago (a boy). I congratulated him. Throughout his visit he was shocked by just how busy Spencer was, I guess realizing that he was seeing a glimpse of his future. My Women's Studies teacher would be so proud. Posted by Kyle M. Jay & Robin Irvine: June 2014

Jay and Robin Irvine. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. No way I could have done that. We generally spend the night in Albuquerque and while looking for a Taco Bell we had to drive through some residential neighborhoods near the University. We were amazed by this very unique house (or houses). I've driven past Hole N the Rock three times now and never realized what an awesome place it is, until I got home and looked it up. There is a 3,000 sf home carved out of the base of this rock mountain. It's for sale...My la...

The Palmer Peeps: August 2011
http://thepalmerpeeps.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Recently blogged about what she would do if she stayed out all night long. Well not to one-up you Val, but I recently DID stay up all night. You might be thinking what can a person who lives in a town named after an ancient prophet do in the wee hours? Fasten your seatbelt and prepare for a wild ride. 10 pm Read a book. 11 pm Peep 2 started crying about a stomachache. Spent the next hour trying to calm her down. Now have lots of sheets to wash, carpet and bathroom to clean.

It's not the whole trail. The part of the track that is smooth is the part where I had to walk so I got off the trail and took the road. It was shortly before that where the impalement took place. Tan Tan joins the fam fam. Promise we are really happy about Tanner joining our family, even if it's been 7 weeks and I'm just now mentioning him on this ol' blog. I've discovered that having two kids leaves little time for anything else. I'm sure it will get better and maybe I'll have a blog revival at some point. I guess the story begins just before Thanksgiving, when I was about 37 weeks. (Actually you could say it started about 9 months earlier, but we'll just start it here.). Of course, I was thinki...

Ideas for Teaching and Reviewing. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. My Feelings about Primary Songs. Elder Boyd K. Packer said, “We are able to feel and learn very quickly through music. some spiritual things that we would otherwise learn very slowly”. I’ve noticed that when music time is reverent, all of Primary is reverent. When music is rowdy, it may be hard to regain the attention of the children. Music can calm, soothe, and bring the spirit to a room in powerful ways. As the ward Primary Music Leader, yo...

Singing Signs
Friday, January 27, 2012. Sometimes a picture displayed while children are singing add variety and fun to learning or reviewing a song. I have created signs that I have used over the years and hope they will help you as you help children love to sing. This is a great tool for teaching children to use their voice as an instrument and a wonderful way to learn the melody of a song before they are taught the words. Labels: Misc. Signs.
