Sort-of dance artist by accident. My inspiration this week. On a lighter note, this made me laugh absurdly hard when I saw it on a rerun last night. Sort-of dance artist by accident. The travel ban has been lifted in Boston, and we’re all digging out from Nemo. I was going by myself, with not a single person I know in the audience. Warming up, performing, making an exit. Sort-of dance artist by accident. I feel extremely strongly that dance is heartbreakingly human. That when you understand your own body, and mentally tune in to the power and suggestion in your real movements, even the tiniest shift of an eye can tell a story. Can make you feel alive.
