Weekly Writings of the Hansen Home: August 2014
http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
August 28, 2014. Our little Eleanor has turned 1! Here's some stats and facts about her. Height: 30" - 75%. Weight: 18 lb 9 oz - 28%. Head: 18 1/8" - 80%. Ellie is a very active girl. She's been walking since 10 months, and can climb up and down stairs. This week even showing us how she climbs onto tables. Kyle calls it sensitive and I call it dramatic, but she has quite the personality. Doesn't like strangers and definitely not large groups, unless she's hanging on mom/dad. We all love her very much!

Weekly Writings of the Hansen Home: January 2015
http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
January 12, 2015. It was confirmed by the pediatrician that it was influenza, aka the flu, that kicked our butts. Dexter was a good at resting, if he had some shows on. The pediatrician told me which strains came out positive, but I forgot. Ellie on Wednesday had changed her cough, and was screaming mad a lot. I thought maybe she had an ear infection or bad sore throat. Nope none of that, but they sucked her boogers to tell us which virus she, and consequentially we all had. Playing with her toys. I've a...

Weekly Writings of the Hansen Home: Beginning of July
http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2015/07/beginning-of-july.html
July 21, 2015. We had bought some fireworks, but didn't get a chance until after to light them off. It became our Family Home Evening activity. Kyle bought some fun aerial ones (since they're legal here) and then the basics as well. Neighbor kids joined in watching them with us. Ellie joined me on my lap to watch. Ahhh feeling huge. Only a few days left. Cute chubby cheeks and pouty lips at his last appointment. They've taken up wrestling. Snuggle and nap time! It was yummy of course. Ellie on a random w...

June 28, 2015. Presenting the Newest Hansens. This has been the year of weddings for sure. Audrey's in September, Jake's in March, and to finish it up is Tyler's this past weekend. Even though I was less a month from due date we still all went down as a family to this last wedding. What made it special is that every sibling (with their spouses/family) were there! Got the toe less kind so I could at least wear sandals to keep cooler. Gorgeous dark sky with Venus and Jupiter shining bright. Kyle spent all ...

Weekly Writings of the Hansen Home: April 2014
http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
April 26, 2014. Randomly on Thursday Dexter decided he didn't want his diaper on. So what do I do? He started off much better than my previous attempt. It gave me hope to continue on. After a week plus we're still working hard. Going through many underwear, but also having some good moments. It also means many photos of a kid only in underwear coming up. Saturday was Dexter's birthday! Waiting for the signal to start. I held and he grabbed the eggs. Already built the legos, now onto the toy plane. My par...

Weekly Writings of the Hansen Home: Sparks Fly
http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2015/07/sparks-fly.html
July 6, 2015. It's been hot here, and as an extremely pregnant person it feels twice as hot. So usually we stay inside, which isn't exciting for the kids. However, I picked up a few things that would be easy on me and still fun for the kids for some outdoor play. Dad joined in while he was working on the playground some more. They liked throwing them at him. A bit of swimming. After they were all gone we used the fill attachment to spray the kids. The other item I have in my summer arsenal is popsicles!

April 29, 2015. I finally got to see the cardiologist right when we got back from our trip. He said it probably isn't anything, but just wanted to check on a few things since pregnancy can put stress on the bodies, and weaken things like hearts. I got sent home with this lovely device. Planting season is coming up. It kind of stinks to see such beautiful weather and know that I can't plant most things outside yet. At least I can get started with indoor seedlings. Quite the roaring winds. This little boy,...

http://wandkhansen.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
October 27, 2014. Fall has so many fun things to do. We found out that are town does a Halloween Carnival. Dexter was excited to go to this Halloween party. Our costumes were mostly complete, so we all dressed up. Except for the adults running the carnival no parents dressed up. Oh well, we're used to that. I'm excited for our ward's trunk or treat where our entire ensemble will be shown off. Ellie scoring at the fishing pond. Train Engineer and Sheriff. Cornhole toss and he got a big prize. The wait fin...

September 29, 2014. Audrey's Wedding Week - Part 2. We got all ready and fancy dressed. Dad helping Dexter style his hair. Kyle and I went first to go see her sealing at the Las Vegas Temple. We looked dang cute together. The sealing was beautiful. Audrey was super excited, and Matt's face looked like it held some nervousness in it. My mom met us with the kids outside as we waited for the new Mr. and Mrs. Kunkel to appear. In our matching outfits. Dusty pink, black and grays. About to come out. Finally t...
