2015 Rogers Cup in Montreal | Mcshow Blog
https://mcshowblog.wordpress.com/2015/08/11/2015-rogers-cup-in-montreal
A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is MCSHOW BLOG? 2015 Rogers Cup in Montreal. August 11, 2015. So that’s where we are this week: Montreal. I’ll try to keep this short since there’s a lot of tennis to watch, patterns to develop, form to be found. Nishikori looked solid. I especially liked how he was able to win the SF and F after losing the first set (SF vs. Cilic no less! As for Montreal, this should be very interesting. Djokovic could face a Dimitrov in 3R. Wawrinka might have Kyrgios in 2R; Cilic ...

A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is MCSHOW BLOG? July 16, 2015. Tennis fans are in full hypothetical mode ( some might say. There’s a lot of hype, too), looking at comparisons, history, using common sense and bias to try and figure-out where Djokovic ends-up in the big picture of men’s tennis. A very common approach is to compare Nole to Federer and Nadal, looking at age, majors accumulated, at what pace and so on. One source. Looks pretty grim for Djokovic when you put it like that! A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is MCSHOW BLOG? Newer posts →. Right On. Cue. October 12, 2016. Sneaking in a quick quip about Shanghai and touting my blog. Who doesn’t like his or her observations and arguments to be more or less verified by events in the real world. I wrote that series of articles about Novak post-U.S. Open. The objective look at his career arch. Looking at Shanghai revealed a bunch of interesting even early round matches (Kyrgios v M. Zverev and Nadal v Troiki were not part of t...
On the Eve of Hard Courts | Mcshow Blog
https://mcshowblog.wordpress.com/2015/08/02/on-the-eve-of-hard-courts
A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is MCSHOW BLOG? On the Eve of Hard Courts. August 2, 2015. Let’s start in the top 10. We should understand that nothing has been decided on 2015 HC yet, really. A player could emerge a month from now, perhaps sans foreshadow during these next three to four weeks of HC tournament play. We can prognosticate and pray and worship the game’s ghosts and future stars, but the play on the court will decide everyone’s fate. Roger will continue his ambassadorship. On the other han...
The Two Versions of Roger Federer | Matt's Blog

The mcshow. . . What is Matt’s Blog. The Two Versions of Roger Federer. July 21, 2015. Pretty remarkable that he has been able to stay so hard-charging in these more recent years, but those numbers clarify that he has won only one major in the last five years. So, again, although fans might want to create a much longer and dominant run by the Swiss craftsman, his was a more defined 4-5 year period of dominance. Of his sublime, almost effortless control of the game. On my end, I would routinely wake eithe...

The Grigor Potential | Mcshow Tennis Blog

A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is Mcshow Tennis Blog? January 11, 2017. As I implied in my previous post, the biggest news of last week’s ATP opening tournament play was not necessarily the Djokovic win at Doha over friend/foe world #1 Sir Andy Murray; that was the second most interesting development in men’s tennis. 8221; (this linked article has a. The last line of that article reads:. Well, he may appear to be acting-out this potential (better late than never). And as we will certainly say from...

A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is Mcshow Tennis Blog? 2017 Here We Go. December 31, 2016. It’s December 31, 2016. I have a couple of weeks to dial-in some ATP action as the athletes get their shits together for some 2017 tour action and subsequently some 2017 Australian Open form! Hope you all had a great holiday/are continuing to celebrate whatever holiday you’re all about. Let’s take a quick look back at our predictions from last year. What we said about the top 5 (at the time). Was that not a choke?

A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is Mcshow Tennis Blog? January 8, 2017. Okay, I’m getting way ahead of myself here. Sorry for the delay in posting; I wanted to make sure I saw some actual tennis from the two matches I was going to write about. The match had decent quality (at times high – especially given the time of year – and at times pretty mediocre) and top-of-the-tour excitement, for sure. These are the boys to be reckoned with on the tour right now, obviously. As we said in th...Indeed, much of t...
The 2017 Australian Open Draw | Mcshow Tennis Blog

A Writerly Serve and Volley. What is Mcshow Tennis Blog? The 2017 Australian Open Draw. January 13, 2017. Let’s get it on. In the top half of the draw, the Scot has a tough route for his quest to win a fourth major and first Australian Open. Here’s how his quarter should play-out. Looked at from the bottom of that quarter, Federer should see Berdych in R32. Chew on that. Those two played in the QF last year, but. So, Murray has Pouille, Federer, Berdych and Nishikori as big threats. We’ve talked Ev...
pittbrownie: Wednesday
http://pittbrownie.blogspot.com/2015/05/wednesday.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2015. It's been raining here. A lot. Only one day this month where the airport (where we get our official city tally) hasn't recorded any rain. How the hell do people in Seattle live like this? Hoping to sleep outside this weekend as I have accepted semi-rad's camping challenge. I was able to sleep out on our back porch last Thursday. We were planning to go to Buff Creek but I hear that's under snow. We're now looking at either Lake Pueblo or Canon City. Never surrender, never! Leadvil...

Monday, November 28, 2011. The lager-only diet has its hands full. Them Belgians are tough. Links to this post. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Stoned is the way of the walk. The vertical will continue as that's my focus. In fact, I have a February race with really steep climbs (short but a bitch), so I want to be really ready for that. However, I also want to continue my flatter running, working on the turn-over, pace, etc. Just doing steep vertical will not get it done for me. Links to this post. Read 185...

Sunday, September 25, 2011. Got in a nice run here in Maui (wife's birthday present and we rarely travel, so this is GOOD). Finding some trails in and around Kapalua. A lot of swimming with goggles and fins and had a nice 1:15 run with about 900ft. of vert. Super fun. Body (foot) feels pretty good. Swam with a couple of sea turtles last couple of days. Very cool. Life is good. I do have to get my act together over on Inside Trail. Too much criticism. Links to this post. Friday, September 9, 2011. UltraRu...
Yo, Feet!: January 2013
http://matt-feet.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. The no breakfast thing is lame and has to stop. Came home from work around 3:30 and hammered some left over egg/potato burrito and a chicken arugula salad. Dinner was left over chicken noodle soup, some left over chicken and a few chips. And a lot of water. This cold is stuck in the throat. Will hopefully be clear by weekend. Links to this post. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Breakfast burrito - eggs, potato, bacon, a little cheese. A ton of hot sauce (goes great w/espresso).

Friday, October 28, 2011. The running is finally at some consistency though I may still take a day off here and there because of work. Today was a solid trail 8 miler with about 1300ft. which seems pretty flat but it was anything but. It was work. I've a long way to go, but at least I'm getting out there and feeling like this is a perfect time for some racing may occur in December and January, for starters. I really want to toe the line with some fitness and earn my beer. Links to this post.

The mcshow. . . What is Matt’s Blog. August 12, 2015. Wednesday evening and already there is much drama in Montreal. Here’s a summary of the draw and some early results. Next, you have the sympathy parade for Rafael Nadal at the top of his bracket. He, the seventh seed, got a Ukrainian named Stakhovsky following his bye. Not much of a challenge beyond the first set TB. Next up for Rafa: Youzhny. Wow. Is it 2008? I called this in my last post. Indeed, it’s happening before our very eyes. August 11, 2015.
