Embracing the Adventure in Peru. Dear Friends and Family,. After arriving back in Peru I am grateful that I was able to take a few days to rest and adjust! Our church did an outreach with the movie, Courageous at the movie theater that was really neat to be apart of last week. This weekend I attended my first Quinceañera, which is the Peruvian celebration of a girls 15. Birthday, similar to a Sweet Sixteen birthday party in the States. Embracing the Adventure in Peru. Dec 2011/ Jan 2012 Update. Dear Friends and Family,. Spending Christmas with my entire family was a great start to my Summer vacation. I thoroughly enjoyed being home with family, seeing my nephew turn one, catching up with friends, sharing in churches, and recruiting future teachers at different colleges. I appreciated the change of pace and am looking forward to heading back TOMORROW! First Grade Round 2! Church: I cannot wait to start helping out with music again.
