http://ilikeyourcowboyhat.blogspot.com/2010/03/sound-of-whistles.html
I Like Your Cowboy Hat. My friends. My family. My (often random) story. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. The Sound of Whistles. I was in Indianapolis this weekend with the girls volleyball team I have been helping coach this Spring. We had a successful weekend! We didn't win every game, but we did take 3rd place in the Open Division, which allowed us to qualify for Nationals in Reno, NV, this summer. All of this without our head coach, who was waiting patiently in Austin for the arrival of his baby girls.

http://ilikeyourcowboyhat.blogspot.com/2010/04/grandmas-girl.html
I Like Your Cowboy Hat. My friends. My family. My (often random) story. Friday, April 09, 2010. A few weeks ago I told one of the girls I coach, "my Grandma can hit harder than that! It was just a figure of speach. I was trying to make a point. I didn't really mean that my Grandma could hit the volleyball harder. But, it got me thinking about my Grandma. I was Grandma's girl. But she made me feel like a favorite. My Grandma may not be able to hit a volleyball harder than the girl I was coaching. But ...

http://dayatthepark.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 2, 2012. Summer is winding down. I wish I had written more about here and I'll try to be better about it going forward. But, here are a few pictures that show some of the fun things we did. Watched and played A LOT of baseball. And built some more (this one is Maya's). Visited with Ya Ya and grandpa (2x! And spent some time with Big Papa, too! I went back to work in July, which was a big shakeup for all of us, but we had a wonderful babysitter who took great care of G and Maya.

Saturday, April 28, 2012. What did you learn at school today? I asked Maya the other day in the car. Nothing." She answered. The other kids may have learned something, but I didn't.". Links to this post. Monday, April 23, 2012. Guillermo is learning about poems at school and is really enjoying it. At dinner tonight he told us all about the different kinds of poems and said he had already written a poem, a Haiku, for Poem in Your Pocket Day, later this week. I saw an owl that. Said haiHOO on a tree branch.

The Run Around: My Sweet Angel
http://sadiesrun.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-sweet-angel.html
Friday, March 26, 2010. Dear Sweet Beans,. I miss you so much tonight. My heart is aching right now, wishing I could pet your sweet face. I hope you are in kitty heaven right now, purring, eating, and cuddling up on a soft blanket. I wish you were right beside me. A huge piece of my life died yesterday and this hole in my heart weighs heavier than I thought was possible. I hope your last moments were of comfort and that you know how beloved you were to all of us. Beans Jones (May 1998-March 2010).
