The weeds of August. August 19, 2013. I remember Grandma and Grandpa and their weed-free garden. I remember Mother telling us it was because they had weeded for years to accomplish this result. If you stay ahead of the weeds, they never have an opportunity to go to seed. Thus, eventually no more weeds. I have a theory that weeding in August is not necessary, but here I am again.
