Sunday, 8 July 2012. Would have obstructed the mouth and would cause problems when mouldmaking and casting later. Okay, I lied when I said the overall form wouldn't change much - here it is after more work on the hair, which I felt looked too much like Simon Cowell's rancid flat-top barnet before (see above).

Many many moons ago, when I were a lad, I had a go at doing special effects on my trusty, but crap, Super-8 cine camera. I had a go at animating some plasticine dinosaurs and a Morph-like man. It looked as though his style of effects had passed into history, and a slightly neglected history at that. A decade later the emergence of photo-realistic CGI dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Appeared to well and truly hammer the final nail into the coffin of stop-motion animation. Dinosaurs of all things! What a bloody insult! In 1925.
