In case anyone noticed, I had posted the following photo showing Gianni with her baby bump.but had to remove it because she and David were afraid that her Puerto Rican family would get wind of the pregnancy before their trip and they wanted it to be a surprise. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Our great friend, Tom Solan (my ex-partner in the construction business, now living in Oregon) just arrived for a short visit. He came over to the house today with grand daughter, Valeria, and grandson, Javid. They just pigged out on the home-made tortillas and McKinney special Humos, plus a brown rice dish that Julie made. Can't seem to keep up with emails, thought i'd try out this whole blogging thing. A man who cooks. There ain't nothin' better. :D. Patrik stayed home sick today, and i when went to check on him at lunch time, he had cooked this amazing meal. a whole roasted chicken and yummy rice with veggies. mmm. que rico. (el almuerzo, malpensados! Tonight patrik's sister and brother-in-law are throwing an ayyam-i-ha party, lots of food and singing and drumming and joy :) more about that tomorrow. Time out of time.

Can't seem to keep up with emails, thought i'd try out this whole blogging thing. Blog on holiday . My dear friends sjona and jason got married on saturday! Congratulations- i heard it was a great party! I wish i could have been there! Dia de la madre. Na'im Mendoua Udziela *. Born on friday morning on the 5th of may at around 5 in the morning (05/05 at 05:00)! Oh yeah, the bachelorette party! My friends threw me a bachelorette party the week before the wedding. :D. Can't seem to keep up with emails, thought i'd try out this whole blogging thing. It's also satisfying to do something, anything at all, that seems to be pushing us forward on our plans to head home. right now all visa paperwork is entirely out of our hands, and there isn't even any fancy string-pulling we can do to rush it. so slowly packing our things with the hope that we will soon be getting on a plane is our one satisfying task! It was a perfect day - warm and sunny - and the perfect wedding. Short and sweet ceremony, good food, gorgeous cake and flowers, a little merengue, and our families.
