Typical Adventures: January 2013
http://typicaladventures.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A document of sorts. Friday, January 4, 2013. I've posted a year in pictures in the past. Where I made rules for myself about how many I could have per month. I didn't really do that this time. Every month has at least one picture, more have others. Happy New Year everyone. I hope (and expect) 2013 to be even better! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://typicaladventures.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-national-building-museum-brief.html
A document of sorts. Sunday, December 16, 2012. The National Building Museum: A Brief History. So my friend Patricia. Pointed out in a comment how absolutely beautiful the National Building Museum is. I know, right? The building was originally built in the 1880's to host Inaugural Balls and to serve as the offices of U.S. Pension Bureau. Multi-tasking! There is a terracotta frieze of Civil War soldiers running along the entire building. I wonder why? He was trained at West Point as an Engineer and served...

I know how to cut one properly (remove the veins running down the points) because my friend Christine taught me. Christine learned how by watching a lady on a train in China cut one. Isn't that neat? I like the world, don't you? Happy Memorial Day weekend everybody! June 8, 2012 at 11:19 AM. June 8, 2012 at 11:34 AM. It is a fruit salad!

Typical Adventures: March 2011
http://typicaladventures.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A document of sorts. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Vienna Teng and Alex Wong: Magic. A few Fridays ago M, Joel, Christina and I went to the charmingly sketchy concert venue Bootleg Theater. To see Vienna Teng. It's very difficult to tell you what genre her music fits into- a dilemma she herself mentioned between songs- and announcing that she had recently hit on "NPR pop" as the best description. "NPR pop"! It's about (I gather from the lyrics) a corrupt and manipulative businessman being turned in for fraud...
