Sunday, January 11, 2009. I want to learn many languages. I'm very interested in learning languages and learning about the cultures and people who speak different languages. I think it will be helpful when I travel to Europe and other countries. I think it is very important for Americans to learn other languages, especially if we are going to travel. I think at the very least, you should learn the polite words, food words, shopping words and other basic phrases and words you would need as a tourist.

Recently, we spent a day in DC and visited the National Cathedral. I highly recommend it. Even if you don't consider yourself religious- see it for the art and architecture. It is amazing! I call him a gypsy because he and Shawn move around so much. Shawn has been doing some short-term leases for the last several months and when Charly can't go with him, he brings him to us. We spent the whole day and had a wonderful time. We arrived about 9:30 am, got our tickets and went straight to the house. There was a line to get in. They only let about 25 people in at a time.
