A phone call, an email, smoke signals, just some response to one of mine that says yes, you're worthy of my time. Thursday, January 29, 2015. Leeks it's what's (usually) for dinner. Here's what I dug for dinner yesterday. Leeks are much more common here. As common as onions- or I don't know- potatoes. Are back home. I love that here everyone loves them as much as I do! I'm headed back into the vineyards to prune tomorrow. I hope it will be as sunny as yesterday. Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Mora na maidine dhuit (top o' the morning to you). Sunrise on Sheep's head peninsula. Oh, the treasures I found! Driving here is an adventure! Suddenly we were not alone. Thursday, January 10, 2013. Irish eyes are smiling. We flew into Cork, Ireland today. We enjoyed our first beautiful sunny day in almost a month. After a lunch of the freshest crab-off the boat only a few hours earlier-we headed to the beach. A bit chilly but GORGEOUS! We found a lovely B&B with a great view.

Wednesday, April 1, 2015. This journey across Provence and now into Italy has been so many things. freeing, stressful, exhausting, exhilarating, breathtaking and at times achingly sweet. A gift I've given myself. A simple yet fantastic blip outside of my not always so comfortable comfort zone. A push past loneliness, a shove past the easy excuse "of staying to help" and a leap that this would be something I really am glad I made happen. I am so weary -but I believe I will be very happy I made this happen.
