Meaghan: #7

http://www.meaghanscreativewritingblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/7.html

Tuesday, April 8, 2008. 2 I really enjoy writing short stories about things that have actually happened and switching it up a little bit. I don’t know if that is my strongest area of writing, but it is the one that I enjoy the most. 3 I feel that I need a lot of structure to get me going. But I only think that because I feel otherwise I will be doing it totally wrong and get a bad grade on it. Also I am not very good at grammar and never no how to do thing correctly. Meaghan: In Character

http://www.meaghanscreativewritingblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/in-character.html

Wednesday, April 30, 2008. 3 Kris Furillo from Wildfire I think she is important to our culture because she rides horses! I really like the show Wildfire and Kris is a good role model because she went from jail to riding horses. I agree that Barbie has had a huge impact on young girls because that was like one of the only toys I had when I was little and with all the different Barbie's it was like she could do anything. Mrs B's Creative Writing. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Mrs. B's Creative Writing: Happiness

http://edinacreativewriting.blogspot.com/2007/11/happiness.html

Mrs B's Creative Writing. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. In watching the film, we see Chris pursue his goals and dreams in a lot of unusual ways. No matter what he has to do to get the attention of the people who could help him achieve these things, however, he keeps his mind on the final outcome- being successful in order to provide a better life for his son. 1 How would you would define happiness if you were asked to try to explain it to someone who had no idea what the word meant? 4 Whose happiness do ...

http://edinacreativewriting.blogspot.com/2008/04/characterisitics-of-well-told-story.html

Mrs B's Creative Writing. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Characteristics of a well-told story. We all have heard and read stories. It is one of the first things many parents do with their kids. Part 1: Why in childhood? Why are stories so important to childhood? Why do people read stories to kids? What do the kids get out of this experience? What kinds of things do kids learn from the actual stories and from the experience? Part 2: Why later in life? Why do older people (high school and beyond) read stories?

Mrs. B's Creative Writing: How Unpoetic

http://edinacreativewriting.blogspot.com/2008/03/how-unpoetic.html

Mrs B's Creative Writing. Tuesday, March 18, 2008. Well, sort of unpoetic. In poetry the topics can range from birth to death and from love to hate. Today your job is to pick a topic of your choice and write about it for 4o minutes. Do you love sports? Then write about sports. Do you want to write about a more abstract topic? Write about hate or love, courage or cowardess. Perhaps you can think of nothing but your life after high school. What will it be like? Are you into politics? Posted by Carol Weeps.

Mrs B's Creative Writing. Friday, May 16, 2008. You will create your own rubric today that I will use when grading your short stories. A rubric is a tool used by teachers to evaluate student work. Usually the teacher will pick out what is important for student work to include and place it on the rubric. Meaghan's Amphora

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Grad School, Semester 1: Check! After 16 weeks of classes, group projects, slacking, email sending, proofreading, working, studying, and complaining, I am pleased to announce that I took my last final yesterday. At only one point during it did I want to kick the professor in the face (hate it when they ask questions that were not in the homework). I'll call it a success. Or at least over. I have so much free time now. It's delightful. Monday, July 26, 2010. Today has been a ...

In Pursuit of Medicine ”. May 18, 2015. Week 1: Shadowing a Pediatrician. I can’t even begin to convey how I felt leaving the Doctor’s office Friday, May 15, day one of my shadowing a fantastic pediatrician. I was on cloud nine. I saw 13 patients in two and a half hours, and each time I followed him into the room, I was excited to see the interactions and learn about the children.
