Monday, November 29, 2010. Several Saturdays ago we headed out to spend a day at Oak Mountain. Our favorite five year old was off spending a long weekend with his Mimi and Gramps, so. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. 1st season of baseball. Jacob played his first season of baseball this spring! He has been asking to play on a baseball team for years! He was on the Oakland A's and had a great time playing! He has always been a strong hitter, but he saw lots of improvement in his catching and fielding. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. September trip to Cade's Cove! We went to visit my grandparents in Knoxville and spent one day playing around at Cade's Cove and in Gatlinburg! We had a great time. We used to do this when I was a little girl and it is so much fun to get to take my kids to do it with my grandparents. They love exploring the mountains and playing in that icy water! Monday, September 20, 2010. For Labor Day we went to Destin with Mimi and Gramps! We had a great weekend with them. One of our favorite parts was the night we hung out at Baytown. We got there right as the sun was setting and it was AMAZING! The kids loved climbing the tree houses (abby thought she was Kit Kittredge! There are so many fun things to do at Baytown and so we let each of the kids choose one thing they would like to do. Abby and Jacob both ended up doing the EuroBungy! Everyone was so excited...

Thursday, July 21, 2011. Multicultural Program and Cinco de Mayo. In May the second graders at Abby's school put on a multi-cultural program! It was so well done. Each of the four second grade classes represented a different country- Africa, Mexico, China, and the United States. They learned songs and dances that represented their Country and wore a hat if appropriate. Here are all the second graders singing a welcome song. Abby's class represented China- here she is singing. We had a great time together!
