So i am sitting inside a stalled car on this road. I am writing to you to let you know that i may not be alone. Dog, raymond, went out. Sound is now over my head. a whirring sound. Do they know i am beneath the clouds. Shhh must be quiet for now. Heading towards old cuba. Eating: chestnuts and spinach. Labels: no mans land. I came across water. How many days has it been since i contacted you? I have been busy with a sensitive project. Someone from the mainland had erased all of the cemeteries here.

http://www.meanderingthroughnomansland.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-came-across-water.html

I came across water. How many days has it been since i contacted you? I have been busy with a sensitive project. Someone from the mainland had erased all of the cemeteries here. They had written in the book that the space was needed for farming. Any ways i came across a semi scavenged lot.they must have left in a hurry. Never did any farming here. So i found an old back hoe and filled everything in.i fenced it in with the gravestones. There wasn't a way to get them back into their rightful spots.

Marcy James: learning curves

http://marcyjamesphotography.blogspot.com/2010/01/learning-curves.html

Thank you shawn, for getting me back to simple inquiries. thank you for reminding me that sometimes allowing outside hands into my work space can move me into directions that may not have occurred otherwise. Ok i get it:. 1 i am not good at being 'crafty' for the sake of making something look good. There is no Martha Stewart destiny for me. 2 i work slow. very slow. i spend a lot of time looking at each stage of a piece. Why is it so ugly? How can i get rid of that texture? Nadav Kander's images cause me to pause. How Amazed I was when I found out I could listen to him lecture. I had the extraordinary opportunity to listen to Nadav Kander speak while I was attending the Adobe Summit last summer at Santa Fe Workshops. The viewer is viewing the inner condition of the photographer more than they are viewing the subject.". I'm far more interested in people's moods and the moods they can invoke in you.". Most of my landscapes deal with the palmprint/footprint of man.".

Just in case you can make it. Marcy James: the process of making things

http://marcyjamesphotography.blogspot.com/2010/05/process-of-making-things.html

The process of making things. I know where i am. So i know it's temporary. But it's still frustrating. Working on my shows for this season and my mind is mud. Last week was fruitful. this week is walled in. It's time to set the new rhythm, but committing to art. Practice is easy once you are inside it, but getting there. Is sometimes a bit tricky. i think you know what i am talking about. Meandering through no mans land. Review of Sketching by Skylar Browning. Conversation with Alexia Beckerling.

Thoughts on my life as a Wife, Mother and Art Quilter. Saturday, November 23, 2013. Saturday, November 16, 2013. I've been experimenting again. I started with these glue resist pieces and added some black, red and yellow paint to them. I took some commercial fabrics and wrote and scribbled on them with sharpies and paint. I used these to write down any thing that popped into my mind about how I'm feeling about Gary's illness. Then I cut them up into thin strips and fused those to the top. Seeing how the ...

Wandering slowly and aimlessly on a twisted route…. Back in Louisiana – Birding in the Wetlands. April 22, 2010. I’ll be back sometime in the future about our new home in New Mexico. Right now Sam and I are on the road again back home visiting in Louisiana. While Sam has been spending a week of music classes at the Louisiana Folk Roots Music Festival, I decided to head “down the bayou” and visit with my wetlands friend Wendy ( http:/ bayouwoman.wordpress.com/. Meandering Through Secret Waters

Meandering Through Secret Waters: A mishmash of some of the poems, pictures, ponderings and everyday happenings that make up my life. Saturday, March 10, 2018. A Day of Reflection. Today was a day of reflection. A day of sadness. A day of memories. A day of past and present. I had already arrived at a gut understanding of the need to live in the present: today it became urgent reality. I need to remember the past, but let it go. Wednesday, February 14, 2018. It's cooler this morning. But from the east.
