Sometimes I post random things here. I'm a PhD student at the University of Southampton, where I mostly work on technology that helps to mediate between people's values (things they care about) and their everyday activities like eating, running, or using the internet. In more concrete terms, I work on privacy and consent technology to help empower digital citizens to understand and control their personal data. I also work on wellbeing technology like fitness trackers . I run a startup called KOLOLA.

It is now quite well known, but still not understood by and used by everybody. Currently (May 2015) our plans include:. With similar goals and ambitions! Primarily through the OpenNotice. And the IGF DCPR.

CommonTerms - What others did
http://www.commonterms.net/Related.aspx
We have found a growing number of other projects with similar goals. In 2012 we co-founded the OpenNotice. Group in order to bring all of these projects together. CommonTerms tries to address the "biggest lie" problem, ie. the fact that we lie and say we have read the terms when in fact we have not. This page contains a list of related projects, divided into four sections:. So that users don’t need to read everytime. Delegate the reading of terms. So that reading actually does occur.
