Malaria vector-control a short-term volunteering project. Right now he is living with his aunt, which raised him in this house and to which he refers to as mum. And this is his brother in their very basic kitchen. Once we were at his place, where he invited us for tea we discussed about his problems and I said I would be happy to look around if I can help him out. Are you willing to assist this cause and promote Emma`s education by making a donation. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Thoughts of Malcolm Trevena - Avid Runner and Founder of Meaningful Volunteer. Sunday, March 9, 2014. Golden Ears Half Marathon and Free Hats. In my build up to the big 50 K ultra-marathon in May. I have several smaller races planned because well, racing is fun! And it is good to be in the scene. The first of these races was the Golden Ears Half Marathon. The course starts with an out and back across the Golden Ears Bridge. In June, well after my 50K. These blogs detail my journey to a 50 km ultra-marath...
crazymalc: Mind Running
http://www.crazymalc.com/2014/03/mind-running.html
Thoughts of Malcolm Trevena - Avid Runner and Founder of Meaningful Volunteer. Sunday, March 16, 2014. My Saturday morning long run was hard. It wasn't just the 20 odd miles I ran, but my mind wasn't in it. Every mile seemed like a slog. I was dreading the four plus hours I'd be spending on my feet. This reminds me - once again - that running this 50K event. Isn't just going to be a physical challenge. Spending seven-ish hours on my feet is going to be mentally taxing. Thoughts of Malcolm Trevena - Avid Runner and Founder of Meaningful Volunteer. Saturday, April 6, 2013. Running the Birch Bay 15K. In the hotel, just before the race. Better. Much much better than the disaster that was the 10K Chilly Chase. The bottom line was I did the 15K course in 1 hour and 36 mins. While this was a little slower than the 1 hour 30 I had initially set myself, I felt I still had a lot in the tank and could have pushed it harder and made up the 6 minutes. Worst thing about the race: A ...

Thoughts of Malcolm Trevena - Avid Runner and Founder of Meaningful Volunteer. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Gratitude Journal - Health and Support. Not that long ago, I was on my way out of Uganda. I had a plane ticket to South Korea to take up a teaching contract, maxed out credit cards, and maybe $100 in cash available. I finally made to to South Korea by propping myself up on airport trolleys and asked for help wherever I could. I was rushed to a hospital and pumped full of drugs. Well not quite heal...

Thoughts of Malcolm Trevena - Avid Runner and Founder of Meaningful Volunteer. Friday, February 14, 2014. Running an Ultra-marathon for the Environment. Time to bust out of the marathon limits and bust into the world of ultra-marathons. I'm in training for the Elk/Beaver 50K Ultra-marathon. On Vancouver Island as a fundraiser for the David Suzuki Foundation. You can donate to the cause here. But there is still so much more to do. This run is one small step to make a better future for them.
