Olivae: March 2010
http://olivae.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Things I Like: Sew Liberated Patterns. I went to Crafty Planet with a specific mission: find 1.5 yards of fabric for a gift that I'm working on. While perusing the amazing fabric selection, books, supplies and patterns, I came across this beauty:. I am in love with this tunic. I must have stared at the picture for several minutes. It's so me! Anyone up for a trip to Crafty Planet? Tuesday, March 30, 2010. I had a lot of downtime when I lived in Norway. A lot. To healthy eating ...

Nursery Update 1 | Minnesota Nest
https://minnesotanest.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/nursery-update-1
March 2, 2012 in Baby! My dear husband dreads painting. Last weekend, however, he spent most of his time applying not one, not two, but three coats of Benny Moore’s “Chantilly Lace” to the walls of the nursery. Initially we were told it would take one and *maybe* two coats of the paint to cover up the existing color, but that wasn’t the case…. The Life and Times. The Measure of the Days. You are currently browsing the monthly archive for February 2012. February 26, 2012 in Baby! It’s been so long since I lost posted that I decided to start fresh and I deleted all of the old posts. Out with the old, in with the new! We had some exciting news in August, which caused the blog to go dormant for such a long period of time. My excuse for not updating? We found out that we were pregnant. Finally! Twenty-seven weeks @ G’s work party. The second trimester was great! The Life and Times.

Neighborhood Watch Captain – The Night Shift | Minnesota Nest
https://minnesotanest.wordpress.com/2012/03/30/neighborhood-watch
Neighborhood Watch Captain – The Night Shift. March 30, 2012 in Uncategorized. I’ve been trying to post some pictures of the progress we’ve made in the nursery, but they will only upload as horizontal images and I cannot figure out how to make them vertical. I’ll consult the husband tonight and see what we can do… In the mean time, I have a story. When G woke up, I could still hear a motor running, so I asked him to check and see if he saw the same vehicle. He did! Baby shower this weekend!

Olivae: October 2009

Friday, October 30, 2009. Rotting Lawn Refuse vs. Me. I win. Barely. You might recall my post about cleaning up our garden that I wrote a few weeks ago. Well, the lawn refuse I collected filled three gigantic. And boy, did we pay for it. Interesting things happen to yard waste after it has been in your garage for several weeks:. It produces a stench so powerful that when the door from the garage to the house is opened, the smell wafts through the entire house and lingers for several minutes. Unfortunatel...

Olivae: April 2010
http://olivae.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Guess who went to the gym both yesterday and today at 6:00 AM? I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it part of my daily routine, but its gone pretty well the last few days. I'll try it again Monday morning and see what happens. I'm loving the green goodness that's popping up in our gardens. Most of my excitement probably stems from the relief I experience each time I see some green poking through the perennials I cut back last fall/early this spring. We can. Take care of a yard!

Olivae: February 2010

Saturday, February 27, 2010. Projects: The K Family's Coat of Arms. This is our couch and the lovely new pillows we picked up at PB:. I love the pillows, but I think the couch needs a few smaller throw pillows to give the space a more cohesive look. I'm really not sure that's the best word. What I mean is that I think it needs patterned pillows that contain the colors of the couch, the wall and a little bit of gold to tie it all together. Make sense? You know what, though? The template itself was no smal...

Olivae: The Basement
http://olivae.blogspot.com/2010/08/basement.html
Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Now that the basement has unexpectedly risen to the top of our "to-do" list, we need to start thinking about how we're going to tackle this project. We need to invest some time and resources into exploring the source of the problem, but once those tasks have been finished the fun can start. Nonexistent. Apparently insurance doesn't cover water seeping up through the foundation. We have two big questions to think about as we contemplate the renovation phase for the basement:.
