Wednesday, November 10, 2004. It's Japanese for cute. The Japanese seem to have this thing for cute things. Hello Kitty came from Japan so did Astro Boy. Even products with a more meture theme are cute. They got pink and baby blue everywhere, just look at the Cherry Blossoms with Mt. Fuji in the background. There's a 1 month reservation period and they're asking for a 30% downpayment. For a brand new car Php66,000.00 or so is a good deal to start off with. Friday, December 03, 2004. I was bracing for a really big storm last night. Typhoon "Yoyong" was about to hit land at 7pm that night. Sure enough it came, the wind howling behind the cliffs that surround our apartment complex. Text messages came in asking for prayers and donations to the previous typhoon victims. A blackout followed. Power resumed after 15 minutes. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures,. He leads me beside quiet waters,he restores my soul.

Our team chose to check out the volcanic deposits of Taal. Why? I'm not really sure now, but I think it might have something to do with finding out if we would be endowed with mystical powers at the end of the trip.
