meatcheesebun: August 2007

It's all right if you're afraid of me. Most sissies are. Friday, August 31, 2007. When You Land % Here Its Time, The Shins. So, there was a birthday. And there was a good dinner, and a deeply fantastic lemon tart. And a night out at the birthday party for my favorite bar. All fairly low-key, but nice. And catching up on blogs. And I'm apparently in denial about classes next week, as I have yet to even look at my syllabus for the Big Willie class. Eh. Sincerely, St. Eph. Tuesday, August 28, 2007. And this...

It strikes me that I should have done this earlier, but if any of the four of you who are reading who are not my mom (hi Mom! Are going to be in Dallas this weekend, I will be too! And we should totally get coffee! Or go see the Turner exhibition! Sincerely, St. Eph. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. In which I come to account. It's all right if you're afraid of me. Most sissies are. Monday, December 31, 2007. In which we are done. We are, aren't we? With this whole damn year? It hasn't been bad. So, anyway. More recent history has included a lovely trip to the sunny, balmy climes of the American Southwest. Oh, Tucson- I love you, I miss you, and you make me ineffably sad. I ate a lot. I got a trucker tan on my right arm (so, really, a passenger tan). And then we came home for MLA. Went to the blogger meet-up (Hi! To, it's more...

It's all right if you're afraid of me. Most sissies are. Saturday, May 17, 2008. In which I seem to have wandered off. For, like, a month? Or something. How 'bout some bullets then? I am in a very bad grading place. I've had assorted midterm crap for more than a week, and have only started in on it this weekend. And I've promised everything back on Monday and Tuesday of next week. The UChaos papers are pretty good, and I only have about 8 more to do, but the Big Willie class has exams and. Who knows....
meatcheesebun: In which the prophecy fulfils itself
http://meatcheesebun.blogspot.com/2008/04/in-which-prophecy-fulfils-itself.html
It's all right if you're afraid of me. Most sissies are. Tuesday, April 08, 2008. In which the prophecy fulfils itself. I wound up forgetting my text yesterday. I was so exasperated with myself that I came clean to the class, told them about my stupid dream, and relied heavily on them for specific quotations. They came through like champs and we were able to move quickly along to Ovid, which I did. Sincerely, St. Eph. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. In which I am addled.

The stories and adventures of a wandering PhD candidate trying to reach the holy grail of intellectual achievement - the doctoral dissertation. -photo by Paul Ryan. Tuesday, August 5, 2008. I detect a soft breeze. I am sitting here in my living room trying to feel a breeze. It isn't easy working in the heat. It especially isn't easy working in stale air, and so I am waiting for a breeze that will give me the support I need to write. Great to hear the class is going so well! August 6, 2008 at 9:03 AM.
