Far From the Madding Crowd: May 2015
http://thomashardy.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Far From the Madding Crowd. Music and poetry—two sides of the same coin. Sunday, May 31, 2015. I suppose a nasty weather day was bound to happen eventually. Even so, I consider us lucky. We left Ghent at about 10 am (are you sensing a pattern here? So even though the riding weather wasn't quite as kind as it has been, we still managed to have quite a nice day. Certainly, arriving to a luxury hotel makes things a lot easier. Tomorrow is our last long ride. Kind of hard to believe this amazing ...In a sens...

And so I come to the end of the first month of my “Resolution 2012” project. The result? Kind of entry, and there were only five days that I wrote fewer than 200 words. Then of course I wrote a number blog posts. With five posts here at Far From the Madding Crowd. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. And pick up a few bottles of scotch. It’s the best place I’ve found to bu...This Christma...

Far From the Madding Crowd: Last day
http://thomashardy.blogspot.com/2015/06/last-day.html
Far From the Madding Crowd. Music and poetry—two sides of the same coin. Tuesday, June 02, 2015. Today, our last full day, was a "rest day," as in, no cycling. Tomorrow morning, we pack up everything, including our backpacks, which we had left at the B&B, and ride the bikes one last time, just a short jaunt of 20 km to the Brussels airport. Pretty much the first thing I did off the train was find a Belgian waffle place. We hadn't had a chance to try one yet, and it being our last day.
