Our philosophy was pretty simple. Design something basic, interesting, and fun. From there, let the user experience drive things and see how things shake out. After transitioning to new jobs, moving to new cities, Ramadaning and more good stuff, we managed to get out a new version of Meccho, jam packed with some new goodies:. New theme from the 21st century. Links on the hot page normalized by categories. Per user customization of their own categories (now you can filter all that politics crap). Some nice video embeds.

Decreased the font size of the story title by 1px. Changed the font color for username and category (for each post) to gray so that the emphasis would be more on the story title. Same with # comments. 2) node submission limits. Users can now only submit 7 posts per day. Users can only submit 30 comments per day.
