Mit zwei Veranstaltungen jährlich ist der Arbeitskreis Mechatronik an Hochschulen seit 1999 ein Forum zum Erfahrungsaustausch zwischen Mechatroniklehrenden an deutschen Hochschulen. Getroffen wird sich reihum, immer an einer anderen Hochschule, was den Erfahrungsaustausch unterstützt. Willkommen ist jeder, welcher sich für das Mechatronik-Thema in Lehre und Forschung interessiert. Eine Mitgliedschaft in der DGM oder dem Fachbereichstag ist nicht erforderlich.
