We are committed to conduct research to the highest animal welfare standards. Our veterinarians are well positioned to optimize the research protocols of our clients to reach the highest animal welfare levels, applying the 3 R principles. The Medanex Clinic in-house Ethical Committee hosts external experts and reviews each research protocol that is performed at the clinic.

The 900m² indoor animal facilities provide accommodation according to EC Recommendation 2007/526/EC, for up to 250 conventionally housed large animals, such as sheep, goats, pigs or llamas. Animals can be housed in group or individually. The facility also includes a quarantine compartment for enhanced biosecurity. In addition, securely fenced 7,000m² outdoor paddocks with shelters can accommodate animals in open air in several compartments. Of the standards of animal care up to a 24h/24h 7d/7d regime.
