Was started in January 2009 by a small group of Ashland residents who wanted make it easy for people to donate food to the Ashland Emergency Food Bank. They realized that many of their neighbors wanted to help fight hunger in their community, but for one reason or another, never get around to it. Each year, the MFP holds a "Neighborhood Coordinator Appreciation Dinner" at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum. More than 100 NCs and their families show up for food, fun (ScienceWorks is a great place to throw a party), and plenty of good company. This year's dinner will be held on Feb. 22, 2014.
