Political Burnout: What is Obama supposed to do?
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-is-obama-supposed-to-do.html
Wednesday, December 2, 2009. What is Obama supposed to do? I understand that Obama is now our president and he can't keep blaming the previous administration but the war in Afghanistan and Iraq are not his fault. He was put in a position where he couldn't please anyone, especially the right, no matter what he did. And here we are, sticking it out in Afghanistan, sending 30,000 troops and now the comparisons to Vietnam are flying everywhere. Why are we risking more troops! What is he supposed to do? Subsc...

Political Burnout: Michelle Obama offensive image pops up on Google
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009/11/michelle-obama-offensive-image-pops-up.html
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Michelle Obama offensive image pops up on Google. Apparently a offensive photo of Michelle Obama found it's way onto the Google search results, causing quite a stir. At first, Google was not going to remove the photos because of a commitment to free speech but eventually caved. David Vise, a Pulitzer prize-winning journalist and author of The Google Story, tells the BBC that it would be a "very slippery slope" to try to police free speech. Political Burnout: Science pushes their own agenda
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009/11/science-pushes-their-own-agenda.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. Science pushes their own agenda. Remember when the world was supposed to end because of global warming? Al Gore said so and we should probably believe him. Heck, they even made a terrible movie about how global warming will lead to. New York being hit by a mega hurricane. Now it's coming out that scientists were actually deleting emails and suppressing data to show that global tempratures actually dropped. GASP! The fallout from this? They should not. The issue here is not ...

Political Burnout: October 2009
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. The amazing US economy "officially" recovers. Ladies and gentlemen, the recession is over! Reporting from Washington - The U.S. economy expanded at an annual rate of 3.5% in the third quarter, unofficially marking the end of the worst recession since World War II. The increase in the gross domestic product, the total value of goods and services produced in the country, is the evidence most economists have said is needed to declare victory against the recession. KABUL – R...

Political Burnout: A government-supported media?
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009/12/government-supported-media.html
Thursday, December 3, 2009. If you ask me, this is a terrible idea. Never has a government-supported media been free and unbiased. It would be very easy for even the highly touted (cough cough) US government to put the brakes on certain investigative stories and journalists if this model were supported. The newspaper industry is suffering "market failure" and the government will need to help preserve serious journalism essential to democracy, an influential US congressman said Wednesday. Now I agree that...

Political Burnout: Obama doesn't have very many friends
http://politicalburnout.blogspot.com/2009/11/at-this-point-i-think-soap-scum-is-more.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Obama doesn't have very many friends. At this point, I think soap scum is more popular than Barack Obama. Oh to be a President during the worst recession since the Great Depression. Wonderful. President Obama's approval ratings hit their lowest ranking yet in the Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll out Tuesday, with 27 percent strongly approving of the president's job performance and 42 percent strongly disapproving, an index rating of -15. What I think are some hampering fa...

Tech Rave: Facebook is now much bigger than the United States
http://techraveblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/facebook-is-now-much-bigger-than-united.html
Facebook is now much bigger than the United States. Remember how we thought "The Matrix" was just science fiction. Well when Facebook 8.0 comes out in 50 years we might all be hooked up to machines and getting used like a AA battery. Why? Because Facebook is spreading like a freakin' virus. What happens when it becomes self aware? You've all been warned. Take cover. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader. Just South of North. Please visit our sponsors. Tech Rave: Congrats to the king of nerds
http://techraveblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/congrats-to-king-of-nerds.html
Congrats to the king of nerds. I don't know if I'd call this an achievement. I'd put this in the category of "what the hell have you done with your life? A Taiwanese man has been named the first ever person to successfully "complete" World of Warcraft, collecting the game's staggering 986 Achievements to effectively do everything there is to do in the hugely successful MMO. This is literally the most amazing news of the day. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe in a reader. Just South of North.

Tech Rave: Bing eats up Yahoo, still way behind Google
http://techraveblog.blogspot.com/2009/12/bing-eats-up-yahoo-still-way-behind.html
Bing eats up Yahoo, still way behind Google. Bing is continuing to grow with its market share in the search engine market, taking most of its traffic from Yahoo. Which is something that brings up an interesting dilemma since Microsoft will be entering into a partnership with Yahoo. Akkkkkkwwwwaaaarrrrd. NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Once the world's online search leader, Yahoo's share has sharply declined, putting it in danger of losing its relevance in a market increasingly dominated by Google. The internet...

Tech Rave: Making counterfeit Apple parts does not pay
http://techraveblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/making-counterfeit-apple-parts-does-not.html
Making counterfeit Apple parts does not pay. Word of advice to tech companies, don't try to make knockoff Apple computers. Or power adapters. Because they'll go after you. Apple is taking another company to court, once again over knock-off hardware. Media Solutions Holdings will face Cupertino in court over making power adapters for laptops, at least one model of which allegedly violates an Apple patent. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
