Monday, 28 January 2008. Did the BBC drop Planet Earth due to questions of impartiality? A report had previously criticised the BBC's. When asked about the Planet Relief venture, head of TV News, Peter Horrocks. Said "I absolutely don't think we should do that, because it's not impartial. It is absolutely not the BBC's. Job to save the planet." I believe it is reassuring that such a strong stance on keeping the BBC impartial has been taken. Thursday, 24 January 2008. Galloway breach of due impartiality.

All I can say is "lucky duck" and that's putting it politely. Nick Denton loves gossip and if it's going to make him a hundred and forty million better off then I can learn to love it too. Friday, 29 February 2008. Impartiality and belonging to a political organisation. I came across this short blog which looks at media impartiality in New Zealand. From what I can decipher it’s author is a member of the country’s Green Party. The entry which came to my attention regards to the fact that in August 2005 Maori TV asked their journalists to reveal what their political leanings were. Here’s the link to the blog - have a read.
