They took me out for dinner for my birthday tonight, and we had a great time! We went out for sushi - yum. I don't think I've laughed so much in a long time. Suz enjoying her pina colada. Me, Sasha and Amber - I love these girls! Bob and Amy (he's so cute! A birthday toast with Suz. And the best part is, Bob was so great today! What a great day.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009. So we're past the halfway point in our summer break-from-school time. A little poignant, but Gayle and I are already thinking about the coming year and the new crop of 3rd / 5th graders. This is the week between stuff - last week was 5 days away from Orlando for both of us, and next week Gayle is teaching summer school to rising kindergarteners while I'm doing some house projects. We enjoyed our time away, and were glad to be back home again, safe and sound! 3 Statue of Liberty.
