My culinary attempts to feed the family. Creamy Crab Mac & Cheese. January 21, 2014. Total comfort food for a winter’s evening! This dish was delicious except for one small problem; the recipe called for the addition of salt. The cheese sauce had been perfect before I added the salt and afterward, too salty. Whoops! Next time I make this (it will probably be a “once a year” treat), I will skip the salt. (The following recipe was adapted from here: Crab and Gnocchi Gratin. 1 lb cooked crab meat. Fill in y...

My culinary attempts to feed the family. Monthly Archives: January 2014. January 30, 2014. Oh, how low I have sunk since my Going MediterrAsian blog and all the fresh, healthy, Mediterranean or Asian dishes I was preparing. I think the cold, dank winter has me craving warm, creamy, comfort food. This was a very easy, very tasty casserole. It hit the spot, but now I feel like I need to make a light fish dish this week to balance things out. 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped. 1/4 cup diced green onions. Next ...

My culinary attempts to feed the family. Monthly Archives: June 2015. June 27, 2015. Why didn’t I think of this before! Here are two of my favorite foods paired together. Normally I make gazpacho as a side dish, but wanted to serve it as a main dish this week. We are experiencing a heat wave in the Seattle area and using the oven or stove is unthinkable. To solve my problem, I made this delicious cold soup and topped it with chunks of fresh crab meat (thank you, Costco! 1 cup chopped tomato.

My culinary attempts to feed the family. Tortellini, Sausage and Spinach Soup. October 4, 2016. Teaspoon Italian herb seasoning. What an aw...

My culinary attempts to feed the family. Angel Food Chocolate Chip Tunnel Cake. March 10, 2014. I’m not certain where my mother discovered the recipe for this particular cake. I can say that this has been. Birthday cake in our family ever since I can remember. It was always requested. Family life through adoption. Diams; April 28, 2015. Diams; 2 Comments. Holly’s entire preschool visited the local police and fire station today. I think her favorite part was simply spending time with her best friend, Zoey. Wish I’d gotten better pictures, but honestly, the place was so overrun with preschoolers that it was hard to move. Zoey’s mom got these first two shots of our cuties. Larr; School changes; oh, the angst! April 29, 2015 – 8:43 am. May 1, 2015 – 8:24 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Family life through adoption. Diams; April 29, 2015. Diams; 2 Comments. Our puppy is now three months old and 30 pounds. (Three weeks ago she was 21 pounds.) In three more weeks she’ll get her last parvo shot and can finally be taken for walks and signed up for puppy classes. I’m very eager for both of those activities because frankly, Miss Penny is starting to get an attitude. I think she is restless and needs more exercise and socialization. Larr; Field Trip.
