The Secret Life of Daydreams: Crossing the Pond
http://whitneyviola.blogspot.com/2015/05/crossing-pond.html
The Secret Life of Daydreams. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Making our way to Vienna was quite the journey. Not only were we in the UK before this and France before that, but we had flown out from California complete with a layover in Istanbul, Turkey! Why all the way to Turkey, you ask? For Shad, the stars align. Come together and our little trip to California was great! It was nice to spend some quality time with the Sommervilles before leaving (we missed you, James and kids! Sorry for the crummy dirty-wind...

The Secret Life of Daydreams. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Ok, Shad. I'm gonna whip up a quick blog post. Should I write about Airbnb or about how it sucks to not speak German.". You do speak German.". Cue warm fuzzies.). As much as I'd love to run with this compliment, I do not speak German. Trust me- living in Austria has a funny way of reminding me daily how much I don't speak German. BUT. I think Shad's comment came from his respect for my efforts, however weak, to try. Moechten Sie die Rechnung? My firs...

http://samanthajoyinparis.blogspot.com/2011/11/sunday.html
Sunday, November 20, 2011. We sang this in relief society today as our closing song. I've had it stuck in my head the rest of the day. And it always reminds me of efy. Anyways, I came home to listen to it and pulled up this youtube video of it and I know somebody in it! Our friend's from mexico's daughter is in it around the 2 minute mark. So ironic. samanthajoy&Paris: When you're sick in Neuilly.
http://samanthajoyinparis.blogspot.com/2011/11/when-youre-sick-in-neuilly.html
Monday, November 14, 2011. When you're sick in Neuilly. You stay in bed. You learn how to say. Avez-vous des medicaments pour la grippe - do you have any medicine for the flu. Your host mother asks if its because of her. She served for dinner. She gives you medicine for fevers even though you don't have one. And then calls her daughters to bring over all the medicine they have. Katherine makes you rice for dinner, even though she doesn't even owe you a host family dinner. November 15, 2011 at 2:22 PM.

Sunday, November 13, 2011. I'm having a great sunday. I miss london so much. But today Paris made me realize how much I missed Paris. It seriously is an incredible place, and theres nothin' like it, nor that compares. I'm so lucky to be here. And to have had the chance to live in this city for such a long period of time. I've missed lots at home and I'm excited to be able to go back and have some new fun but I'm more excited to spend the next 18 days. In Europe, living it up while I can. I forgot, the la...

The Secret Life of Daydreams: Shad's Inner Catholic
http://whitneyviola.blogspot.com/2015/06/shads-inner-catholic.html
The Secret Life of Daydreams. Sunday, June 28, 2015. Shad said something so strange to me today after attending Mass at the Hofburg palace (see final photo). With an inspired smile he said, "Mass smells so good. I need to find some cologne that smells like Mass.". Anyway. Mass today was composed by Franz Schubert. Featuring the Vienna Boys Choir and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, resulting in, as you can imagine, a musical feast. Happy Sabbath, everyone. June 29, 2015 at 3:38 PM. A Cup of Jo. Sister ...

samanthajoy&Paris: October 2011
http://samanthajoyinparis.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 31, 2011. Turns out halloween is not that big in Paris. Kind of a disappointment, but the day was still fun for us americans. I started off the day with french class, where we decorated our lunches as pumpkins. Since we didn't get to carve real pumpkins because they are no where to be found here. It wasn't free, and none of us [okay mainly me] like animals THAT much to care about going inside. So we just walked around the park then went to find some crepes for lunch. It was way fun. I...
