Five New Things: Sleep...am I ever gonna get it?
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/sleepam-i-ever-gonna-get-it.html
Thursday, August 13, 2009. Sleepam I ever gonna get it? Who knew three hours of sleep could be so exciting? But yes, last night, Liam - at nearly 3 weeks old - slept for 3 hours and 15 minutes in a row, which is literally a new record for him. I'm hoping this is the beginning of a new trend! Everyone tells me they start sleeping for longer stretches around 6-8 weeks and sleep through the night around 3 months, which can't come fast enough as far as I'm concerned. Gosh, those ten weeks are going fast!

Five New Things: Thoughts on sleep, weight loss and stay-at-home momness
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/thoughts-on-sleep.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Thoughts on sleep, weight loss and stay-at-home momness. It is just me, or does this guy look more and and more like his daddy every day? I think we have figured out something about Liam's sleep patterns. He's a great sleeper early in the night - he'll often sleep from 7:30-11 or 8-11:30. As the hours wear on, his stretches of sleep get shorter and shorter. By the time the sun is threatening to come up, forget it! And going to a new mom's support group at the Lamaze Center of ...

Five New Things: More baby items Liam (and we) can't live without
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/more-baby-items-we-cant-live-without.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. More baby items Liam (and we) can't live without. OK, I know it's the cheesiest-looking thing ever, but what can I say? Liam is a quarter Swedish, so it makes sense, right? At just over 8 pounds, he is finally big enough for it, and I can already tell it will be a lifesaver. This morning I was able to do dishes, fold laundry and even vacuum while he slept away against my chest. Oddly enough, he loves the sound of the vacuum - puts him right to sleep! Five New Things: Doing better?
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/doing-better.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. We had a pretty successful night last night - a 3.5-hour stretch of sleep, followed by a 3-hour stretch. And thanks to my awesome babydaddy, I got a full 8 hours! A far cry from the 2-3 hours I was getting two weeks ago. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but I think the red light bulbs are making a difference. We also finally bought a crib! I'll post pics as soon as Brad can find the time to put it together. Right now, I would kill somebody just to get the 2-3 hours!

Five New Things: Not to brag, but...
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/not-to-brag-but.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. Not to brag, but. Do I not have the cutest boys you've ever seen? And for those of you who are wondering, Liam doesn't really look like his mom OR dad. He has Brad's hair color (dark blonde) and most likely dark brown eyes like me, but his facial features are a mystery. August 15, 2009 at 7:13 PM. August 16, 2009 at 8:26 AM. Five New Things: Crib pics
http://fivenewthings.blogspot.com/2009/08/crib-pics.html
Friday, August 21, 2009. When your kid is born two weeks early, everything you planned to do in the last two weeks of pregnancy doesn't get done for awhile. But my handy husband finally purchased and assembled Liam's crib. He's still sleeping in his Pack 'n Play for the time being, but over the next month we'll transition him to his nursery. Maybe then he'll fill out the crib a little more! August 21, 2009 at 8:18 PM. August 22, 2009 at 6:33 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Notes from Birgles McGee.
