I had a wonderful time tonight talking about my role as an Ambassadorial Scholar. Since my blog was mentioned (and will be mentioned in other upcoming presentations), I am guessing (hoping? Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Of the many events/parties/festivals in Córdoba. Is generally considered to be the best. The full title is Feria. Fair of Our Lady of Health), but there is little connection to religion (or at least today). This year Feria. Ran from May 23 to May 31. It basically runs all day, every day with. Concerts, fireworks, rides, games, etc. I just wish I could describe the scale. Essentially. They build a mini city. There are streets names and everything! Tents that are restaurants.

Monday, May 26, 2008. Alright, as I've mentioned I've had difficulty transferring my pictures from my camera to my computer. This accounts for the scandalous delay in my posts about Semana. Santa I thought about trying to describe it, then post pictures later, but I felt like that would not work well. Semana. Santa is Holy Week in Spain. Though there are celebrations throughout Spain, Andalucia. Are wooden ' floats' used to carry statues of the Virgin or Jesus. The pasos. It takes 40 men to carry a paso.

Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Somos Campeones (We are champions). After living nearly a year in Spain, I feel like it's my second home. That's why Spain's recent success in the sports world has made me very happy. First, Spain won the EuroCup. Tournament for the first time in 40 some years. The excitement throughout the tournament was unbelievable. Soccer is the most popular sport by far in Spain (and Europe), and the EuroCup. And ¡ Vamos. This went on for hours, until maybe 3 AM.
